This is the first time, as far as we know, that the complete suites will be presented in the Baroque manner in the Northwest Corner of Connecticut. The Crescendo Baroque Orchestra will perform the Complete and Original Version of Handel's Water Music - All Three Suites played as it was first presented in the summer of 1717 for George I. The first time it was played from a barge in the River Thames, this time it will be played in the comfort of air-conditioned Gordon Hall.
This concert is a benefit for the Music Mountain Water Project to pay the cost of replacing the main water line which failed in a spectacular manner earlier this summer. Cost: $50 per person ($25 tax deductible).
