The New Haven Chamber Singers (View Poster)
This small ensemble whose members are drawn from the New Haven Oratorio Choir, make their debut at Music Mountain with music by Tallis, Palestrina, Bach, Mozart, Rimsky-Korsakoff, Faure, Sullivan, Foster and others.

The New Haven chamber singers perform primarily without accompaniment. Their repertoire starts with Sixteenth Century sacred music and madrigals. It goes on to include Bach and other 18th Century composers. In addition, their programs also present some of the most widely enjoyed works of the 19th and 20th Centuries.

The group is comprised of 12 singers, and they are particularly skilled in sacred choral music. That, with the admixture of later works of various types, gives their performances the vigor of variety and the beauty that comes from great and also unfamiliar masterpieces sung by musicians who love what they are doing.
